PLEASE NOTE that each section of the Bibliography is divided into two parts; the first is comprised of published works, the second is of locally published works available from Hertfordshire Library Service, Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies or Baldock Museum.
Among the locally published works are:
- Baldock Museum & Local History Society (BMLHS) exhibition transcripts & local publications.
- Baldock Mail articles in the ‘Rambling Through History’ series (700-1,000 words) written by members of BMLHS (or approved by them) and published from November 2004 (issue 162) – December 2018 (issue 247).
- Baldock & Ashwell Guide articles provided by BMLHS are usually more detailed versions of Baldock Mail articles of 2,000-3,000 words.
- Baldock Museum & Local History Society (BMLHS) Newsletter articles.
NB: it is not practical to annotate these articles, however they usually rely on primary sources and researchers wishing to know the sources may enquire by post through the Museum.
